Doctors' Wives Use Pill Less as IUD Gains Ground
A study of 355 New York physicians' wives finds only 35 percent used the birth control pill in 1970 and 27 percent in 1972, while the intrauterine device grows in popularity. 64 percent of doctors recommended the pill to patients, but just 27 percent of their wives used it in 1972.
