Santa Barbara County studies outside water sources fail
Robert Edmondson consulting engineer for the County Water Agency told Lompoc City Council that exploring water from agencies outside the state water project is not feasible. He outlined cost ranges from 500 to 1000 dollars per acre foot, a 15 to 20 million dollar bond need, and proposed county as utility selling water per acre foot. Goleta requires water by 1976. Lompoc by 1980. other areas later. Edmondson will file his full report in May.

Five Chicago Seven found guilty of inciting riot
After four days of deliberation the jury convicted David Dellinger, Jerry Rubin, Thomas Hayden, Abbie Hoffman and Rennie Davis of crossing state lines to incite a riot at the 1968 Democratic National Convention. Reagan expected to sign delay on new conflict rules
