Nuts and Bolts Band entertains Lompoc Community Womans Club

The Sr Citizens Nuts and Bolts Band performed at a Wednesday luncheon for the Lompoc Community Women’s Club at the Lions Inn. Ted Dugeon directed. Pearl Price led on washboard in Shirley Temple dress. Various members wore costumes and shared songs. guests included club officers and new members. A February meeting is planned with flowers and decorations.

Film on China scheduled by WSCS at church

The Methodist Women’s Society of Christian Service presents The Great Wall Monday night in the fire side room of First United Methodist Church at 7:30. Elizabeth Key gives the introduction and Mrs Loren Jackson leads devotions as the film ends a three month China study. Ruth Circle serves Chinese themed refreshments inviting area churchgoers to view the program.

Officials visit local Quota Club in Morro Bay

Bakersfield district governor Mollie Chambers visits the Quota Club with district lieutenant governor Victoria Krenkel and Morro Bay president Jessie Senclair. Members hear year reports and plan district conference in Bakersfield October 16 18 and presidents conference May 16 17 in Morro Bay plus July convention in Dallas Texas. A continental breakfast for Lompoc Quotarians is set for February 22 hosted by Mrs Lincoln Reed with assistance from membership chair Mrs Clarence Pritchard. Dr Barry Coughlin is the guest speaker at the February 25 luncheon on heart diseases.

Community Women host new members in Lompoc club

Bridge and canasta games framed the party honoring new members of the Lompoc Community Woman's Club at Kailani Village Recreation Center. Guests included Mrs. M.R. Hogan Mrs. Vance C. Wills and Carol Worley. Prizes went to Mrs. Wells Mrs. Donald Weaver and Mrs. Ida Day. Cookies and beverages were served.

Shriners host annual Valentine party at Village Country Club on Saturday February 21. Social hour at 6 30 p m with dinner at 7 30 p m dance music by We Three until midnight. Vietnam Gift Pac Dance Aids Servicemen In Vietnam

Boots and Satellites hold the first annual Vietnam Gift Pac Dance on Sunday April 12 from 1 to 5 PM at the Missile View Community Center Vandenberg AFB. Proceeds fund gift pacs for Vietnam servicemen from San Diego headquarters. Each pac includes 28 items valued at 9.12 dollars, sold for 6 dollars, with many donations from manufacturers.
