No Circus Plans London Bridge Defense From McCulloch
McCulloch Oil Corp denies a London newspaper report that Hugh Campbell-MacLean is its agent buying Picadilly Circus. Officials say the claim is untrue and they do not know the named person. The firm moved London Bridge to Lake Havasu City in 1968 where it now spans the lake, not Picadilly Circus.

City Council approves street plan and tax case study
The council endorsed state plans to design left turn pockets on H Street between Pine and North avenues and rejected a neighbor’s bid to extend them north of North Avenue. It heard from Sol Lefkowitz on storm drains and discussed Knoll’s civil defense eligibility amid a heated exchange. The city also weighed a sales tax court challenge, an $8,500 Dow Chemical energy study, and other budget items. It sought an architectural theme study, water charge revisions, and aid for a school district protective screen. A Warren Michigan map-printing dispute prompted a formal complaint to the highway department.
