Outpatient Clinic to Open in City to Alleviate Doctor Shortage
Community Medical Clinic will open Monday at 119 South B Street in Lompoc. Co director Dr. Rod Hamer says the facility will provide routine services 1 5 p.m. hours, with two part time doctors rotating weekdays and plans to expand to 40 hours weekly if successful. Patients must sign clinic and arbitration agreements and rates will be set with each patient.

Concorde Wins 16 Month Trial to Fly US
Transport Secretary William Coleman Jr. grants the Concorde a 16 month trial to operate six flights daily between New York and Washington. Lompoc Sees FAU Funds Re-Exam Favor Central Avenue
City reviews Federal Aid Urban funding for Central Avenue. sewer manhole work becomes FAU eligible reducing wastewater share by about 19000. Overall FAU funding falls from 190000 to 104300 affecting two other road upgrades including Highway 1 widening and a bridge on Miguelito Channel.
