Registration for the EXTRA TIME flower arranging class sponsored by the City Recreation Department has been extended to next Wednesday. Classes run six weeks from 7 to 9 p.m. at Pioneer Park with a $6 per person fee plus supplies. Registration is at the Recreation office 105 S. C St.

Construction value in Lompoc for January reached $19,919, nudging the fiscal year total ahead of prior year. Since last July the year total is $768,813 versus $618,482 a year ago, with January activity including six residential alterations three signs and one miscellaneous construction.

Youth pleads guilty to narcotics charge

Ernie Andrew Rojas eighteen of Mission Hills pleaded guilty to possessing marijuana and will be sentenced in Lompoc Justice Court on April 13. Four co defendants had charges dropped or dismissed. Judge Terrill J Cox presided.

Teachers group endorses election results in Lompoc

The Lompoc Education Association led by Don Lisle endorsed a teacher vote 464 to 127 backing pursuit of master contracts with the school board. Lisle said teams will gather schoolwide input for a written agreement as CA law clouds contract authority and drafts a study on policies affecting teachers' rights.
