Minuteman II Launch from Vandenberg AFB Reported
A Minuteman II missile was launched at 2 20 a m today from Vandenberg AFB by a SAC crew of the 321st Strategic Missile Wing from Grand Forks AFB ND. The missile followed a course along the Western Test Range. The District Office of Congressman Charles M Teague will be open in Santa Maria February 9 from 10 30 a m to 4 30 p m at the Post Office Building. Three narco suspects bound over to Santa Maria court
Two men LeRoy Blickenstaff aged 20 and Joseph Fanello 22 were bound over on two counts of heroin related charges after Jan 5 raids. Gregory Johnson 19 pleaded guilty to marijuana possession and awaits Santa Maria Superior Court action. Other suspects faces probation hearings in Lompoc and Santa Maria.

Driving spree ends in a heavy fine on Ocean Avenue
Oceano resident Joseph Santos Bordayo, 24, pleaded guilty to drunk driving and related offenses after a high speed chase on Ocean Avenue. He faces a $782 fine or 78 days in jail, and a court appearance was held before Judge Terrill F. Cox. The pursuit reached speeds over 50 mph, ending with police arrest near Sweeney Road after a collision with Lenny Verdher, 39. No injuries were reported.
