Satellite plan advances for Gen. Tel. California system
General Telephone Company of California announces a proposed domestic satellite network with an earth station at Triunfo Pass in the Santa Monica mountains. The plan calls for four earth stations linked by a 22,300 mile equatorial satellite, eight microwave channels, and a total capacity of 10 560 voice circuits or eight television circuits.
