Youth-Led Revival at First Southern Baptist Church
The First Southern Baptist Church hosts a youth led revival from Wednesday to Sunday at 7 30 p m led by California Baptist College students Al Gebauer and Norman Aycock with a church youth committee coordinating prayer visitation publicity hospitality fellowship and transportation chairs. Services end with fellowship in the hall and a nursery is provided for children. Pastor W B Timberlake invites all uncommitted young people to attend for holiday spiritual emphasis.

Memorial for Alice Seabury Graybeal Held at Local Chapel
Alice Seabury Graybeal 79 died Monday at Lompoc District Hospital. Memorial services Thursday at 2 p.m. at the McPeek Family Mortuary Chapel officiated by Rev. Stewart Fitch. She was born in Pueblo Colorado in 1892 and lived in Lompoc four years at 513 North N Street. Survivors: daughter Mrs. E. Jackson of Lompoc. three sons John P. of Arizona James M. of Santa Monica and Andrew W. of Mountain View. three sisters one brother nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She belonged to Retired Teachers Association Pi Lambda Theta and Kappa Kappa Gamma.

Serious crime up six per cent in first nine months 1971
FBI Uniform Crime Statistics show a 6 percent rise in all serious crime from January to September 1971, the smallest such increase since 1966. Violent crime rose 10 percent, while nonviolent offenses fell in burglary, larceny, and auto theft. Washington saw a 14 percent drop, and nationwide armed robbery rose 17 percent.

Switzerland refuses extradition of Timothy Leary
Switzerland will not extradite Timothy Leary to the United States to serve his California jail term for marijuana possession. The justice ministry said Leary will not be granted political asylum and immigration officials will decide if he may remain.
