Two car collision near Maple Avenue and R Street left Lillie Moore and Rose Marie Cadena with minor injuries. Arrests include Richard Myers for arson at Artesia School. Items stolen include tools, a camera, headrests and tape cartridges from local residences and offices. Fire damaged alfalfa stock and a transformer caused a power outage.
Police report a theft of a stereo tape deck from William Dewayne Howe at 1404 W. Pear Ave. The vehicle was parked near the Veterans Memorial Building last week and items valued at 63 dollars were taken.
