Air Force seeks Congress OK to fire Minuteman missiles
The Pentagon said the Air Force will ask Congress for permission to launch eight Minuteman missiles over the continental United States from Malstrom AFB Montana. Four missiles would be fired next winter and four the following winter toward the Pacific after congressional approval and a $27 million test budget.
