Critical condition driver may face manslaughter charge in Goleta crash
A complaint of manslaughter against John Cruz may be filed with the Lompoc District Attorney after a collision at West Central and North Floradale in which Charles A. Slavens died at Lompoc District Hospital. Cruz is listed in critical condition at Goleta Valley Hospital after being transported from Lompoc. Slavens, 47, a construction foreman for FCI, died at the scene. funeral arrangements are pending.
