Solvang theatre benefit features 1880 carriage and races
A vintage carriage built in 1880 will roll at a Solvang area benefit Sunday December 29 at Monte and Pat Roberts Thoroughbred Farm. Nine horse races plus a hound and mule race, a horse auction, and a 1 pm steak barbecue fund the new outdoor theatre. Proceeds support Allan Hancock College Pacific Conservatory of Performing Arts. Admission tickets available at Bookloft Solvang and at the farm or gate.

A theft at Lompoc Senior High School 1301 North A Street involved an acetylene torch and gauge valued at 100 dollars. Christmas 1974 brought fire to Obediah Warthen 508 A South I Street damaging his apartment 500 dollars to the structure and 1500 dollars to contents. Neighbors in apartment B noticed smoke and alerted authorities.

Three Local Traffic Mishaps Blues Christmas Day
A trio of holiday accidents left several injured in Lompoc. One year old Jeremy Bizzell suffered serious head injuries after his father J D Bizzell backed into him in a parking area. Jeremy was transported to Marian Hospital after initial treatment at Lompoc District Hospital.
