County Supervisors defend full time pay hike stance
Santa Barbara County supervisors faced renewed criticism from north and south coast residents after approving a 24 000 salary with a resolution setting a 40 hour work week. Chair Beattie defended the move saying critics would not be satisfied at any pay level while Frost urged referendums and reconsideration. The measure passed 4 1 with Catterlin and others arguing the duties do not justify full time status.
