Decision Delayed on Cojo Bay Harbor Study
The State Commission on Navigation and Ocean Development postponed a decision on Cojo Bay Harbor for at least a year to study the need for a refuge harbor east of Point Concepcion in the Santa Barbara Channel. Protesters argued the coast already bears development from jetties and marinas. The panel may spend 30 000 to 50 000 dollars for further studies on boat traffic and feasibility.
