Roy Disney dies at 78 heir to Disney empire
Roy O. Disney former chairman and CEO of the Disney company died late Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital after a cerebral hemorrhage. He helped build the Disney empire with Walt, pushed the $300 million Disney World project, and kept the wholesome studio philosophy alive. The Disney studios have won more than 30 Academy Awards and launched ventures from Mickey Mouse to Disneyland and beyond.
