UPI report says the U S Air Force used a fleet of C141 Starlifters to fly 376 American GIs home for Christmas after South Vietnam refused landing rights for a Pan Am 747 at Tan Son Nhut. The 747 was to land in Saigon but delays and runway issues halted the plan. Passengers dressed in uniforms prepared for transfer from Long Binh to the base.
