City Council Sets One Non Routine Item Of Environmental Rules

Lompoc City Council will meet Tuesday at 7 30 p m in council chambers to consider a resolution by Community Development Director Jack Lam establishing new environmental quality regulations. The rules align with state updates effective Jan 1 1977 and require clearer proposals and staff analyses while easing some EIR requirements. A base $100 processing fee is proposed with a $300 additional charge if an EIR is needed, plus other costs to the city. Routine Consent items include Beattie Park property withdrawal from the Fire District and a regional transportation planning reimbursement agreement.
