Officials Discuss Conflict of Interest Code Workshop
About 40 school board members, district superintendents and designated employees from Santa Ynez Valley, Lompoc, Santa Maria, Orcutt and Guadalupe attended a workshop on the public officials disclosure act at Santa Ynez Valley High School. Lorenzo Dall Armi arranged the session to review the code and guidance for compliance, with Deputy County Counsel Don Vickers noting that agencies must pass a resolution to implement the code by January 31. The two hour session ended when a power outage caused by a nearby auto accident darkened the hall.
