Lompoc Valley Riders held its annual Christmas party and awards dinner at Grange Hall 435 North G Street. About 140 members and guests attended a potluck, with Santa gifts for youngsters and a brief program introducing new officers.

A Thursday night square dance class for high school students runs 7 30 to 9 30 p m at the El Camino School cafetorium in Lompoc. It began December 2 and continues weekly with registration this Thursday and next before December 16. The event is sponsored by the Lompoc Parks and Recreation Department and the Lompoc Rocking Squares Dance Club.

Presbyterian women install new officers
The United Presbyterian Women installed 1977 officers including Sharon Van DeWeert as president and Dorothy Adamson as vice president. Circle chairmen were named and the ceremony featured a reading of Gods Garden and a solo of The Lord's Prayer. Mary Strobel opened the program and preparations for a potluck New Year meeting were announced.

Happy One Year Shauna Clancy Born Prematurely in 1975
Shauna Leigh Clancy of 1301 E Guava Ave celebrated her first birthday. Born at Marian Hospital Santa Maria on November 29 1975 as a 2 pounds 8 ounces premie she now weighs about 15 pounds and wears six month clothes. Under medical care from Fresno Valley Children’s Hospital and local pediatrician Dr Edward Wallace she has shown fantastic progress though has a lazy eye being treated with drops and possibly a patch. She enjoys tea party toys and her brother Ray’s red straw cowboy hat and learned to walk with a new walker after stopping bottle feeding at night. Her birthday included an open house with relatives and a large cake baked by Phyllis Anderson.

Piano-organ Recitals Set With Christmas Theme This Weekend
Piano organ recitals titled Christmas Cheer are scheduled this weekend at Godden's Organ and Piano Center 205 W Ocean Ave. The Saturday program begins at 7 p.m. with a large list of performers including Valerie Jones and Kelli Lisle in Jingle Bells and many others. The Sunday program starts at 3 p.m. featuring a trio performing Silver Christmas Chimes and an eight hand Silent Night. Relatives and the public are invited to attend either or both recitals.
