Explorers will study park management open space planning land conservation environmental and nature education and will gain hands on experience in park operations. An informational meeting is set for Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Lompoc Veterans Memorial Building auditorium.

Two Accidents Leave Two Injured In Coastal Counties
A San Pedro truck driver, Ronald LaFranco, 22, remained in critical condition after his cargo truck struck a guardrail on Highway 101 near Buellton, spilling fish across the highway. He was moved from Santa Ynez Valley Hospital to Santa Barbara hospital and admitted to ICU. In Lompoc Valley, Heidi Jensen, 15, sustained bruises and abrasions when her car, driven by Michael Murren, 17, collided with another vehicle driven by Richard Greene, 17, at Highway 1 and Burton Mesa Boulevard. Jensen was listed in good condition at Lompoc Hospital. CHP investigated both crashes.
