Collision on Highway 1 Injures Lompoc Driver and Passenger
A car and a school district bus collide on Highway 1 south of Highway 246. Alta Walton, 40, the bus driver, is in fair condition with a mild concussion. Ralph Lopez, 27, fractured right foot, and Joe Garcia, 32, fractured kneecap, treated and released. Witnesses say Lopez’s car was passing on a curve when the crash occurred.
