California PUC OKs 6.525 Million Gas Rate Increase
The California Public Utilities Commission approved a 6.525 million dollar rate increase for Southern California's two largest gas suppliers to offset higher gas costs from El Paso Natural Gas and Transwestern Pipeline. Provisional increases may total up to 7.738 million, with tracking mechanisms for future rises through December 31. If final FPC rates are lower, refunds and rate reductions will be issued to customers.
