Murder suspect led erratic sex life

Paul R. Ferguson elder brother in the Ramon Navarro murder case described by defense psychiatrist as having an erratic sex life from youth including a 16 year old marriage to a 42 year old woman and later homosexual activity with older men. Major Southern California brush fires threaten communities

California surplus funds total 79.8 million to aid schools

Tax protest surge hits county tax assessments

County supervisors face a wave of assessment protest applications as residents rush to file before the August 26 deadline. Robber uses telephone booth in Bel Air Liquor heist

Lompoc police report two men robbed Bel Air Liquor Store at 11 41 p m yesterday pulling $822. One man stood at the counter while the other spoke by phone. A white male suspect 20 to 25, 5 9, 170 to 180 pounds, blond hair, pockmarked, wore a white hat. The clerk’s phone was off the hook and the alarm failed to ring. It took 5 to 6 minutes to alert the police.
