Sugar firm to drop claims sugar from Hawaii differs in quality
The FTC ordered C and H Sugar and its ad agency Foote, Cone and Belding-Honig to stop suggesting Hawaiian cane sugar is superior or that beets or non Hawaii sugar are inferior. The settlement lets differences only if substantiated for specific uses and clearly beneficial to the intended consumers.
