Four Generations Attend Lompoc Wedding of Salcido Jones

Miss Virginia Ann Salcido and Larry E. Jones wed at La Purisima Church with four generations present. Officiant Father Andrew McGrath presided at a 3 p.m. double ring ceremony. The bride, a Lompoc High School graduate, wore Chantilly lace with a teardrop pearl pendant and matching earrings. Guest attendees included her mother Mrs. Frank Garcia and grandmother Mrs. John LeCon, with bridesmaids Renee Klein and Diane Signorelli and maids of honor Nancy Smith and Mrs. Donald Hernandez. The reception was at the Lompoc Elks Club, and the couple includes three generations of families from Lompoc. The groom, an Allan Hancock College alumnus, works as a Santa Barbara County Animal Control officer.

Longtins Lead in Charity Bridge at Summer Nationals

Bridge players from the area excelled in the charity events at the American Contract Bridge League summer national championships held at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles. James Longtin and his wife topped the Redonda Pairs in their section at 1 Oxford Drive, Lompoc. Proceeds from this and similar games have funded more than a million and a half dollars to ACBL Charity Foundation projects as over 6,000 players participate before the tournament ends on Sunday, August 17.
