California school funding compromise moves toward floor vote
A six member legislative conference committee approved a five year 4.1 billion plan to equalize funding between rich and poor districts and reduce Serrano v Priest criticisms. The panel backed a 91 million three year plan and 183.6 million over three years for education of disabled children, with local plans to reap added state money pending approval. Alameda County to pay Sacramento County 119954 for Symbionese Liberation Army trial costs.
