Hill Fitzgeralds Exchange Vows in Utah Temple Ceremony

Dr and Mrs Eugene Allen Fitzgerald vow exchange followed by a Salt Lake Temple ceremony in Salt Lake City Utah. The bride Janice Nancy Hill and groom trained in Lompoc Allan Hancock BYU and UPenn with MS from VPI Blacksburg. They reside in Los Angeles after a Canadian honeymoon with witnesses James N McQueen Archibald McNair and a post ceremony party hosted by Dr and Mrs Beck and Dr and Mrs Gambotti.

Bethany Guild hears talk on Git of Womanhood topic

Mrs. W. B. Petzoldt spoke to Bethany Lutheran Ladies Guild last week on God centered work. The session featured four discussion questions and a film about services to Deaf, retarded and mentally ill people. Donations were urged for Bethesda Waterton Good Shepherd and Mill Neck Manor. A new Bible study topic One Made to Minister was chosen. Mrs. Clara Gustman led the invitation and Mrs. Bobby Carpenter joined the guild. Special honors were given to Mrs. Glenn Borman who will relocate to Wichita Kansas.

Solid Rock to perform gospel rock at Base Youth Center

West Coast group Solid Rock will perform at 7 p.m. at Vandenberg AFB Youth Center. The eight college-age musicians from the San Francisco Bay Area present gospel rock and folk in a new sound aimed at reaching youth. Leader Ron Tewson cites prior touring with Continental Singers. The open air program is free as it is underwritten, with Santa Maria and Lompoc youths invited to attend through the main gate.

Farewell coffee hour honors Mrs. Duval before move

Engineer Dr E Ackerlind to Speak at Western Missile Center

Dr E Ackerlind, current president of the Western Missile Center Chapter 34, will address the California Society of Professional Engineers at Lions Inn on Monday August 18. The talk, The Engineer and Scientist in Modern Industry, follows a 6:30 cocktail hour and 7 p.m. dinner with notable guests including Rabbi I Koller and Col Robert R Baray. Mr Ackerlind, chief scientist at ITT Federal Electric Corp on Vandenberg AFB, holds multiple degrees from Polytechnic Brooklyn and Columbia, is a Sigma Xi and Eta Kappa Nu member, a licensed California PE, and has six U.S. patents.

CC Women to Install New Officers in August Dinner
