Sheriff John Carpenter announces the department needs qualified volunteers for the organized reserve and mounted posse. Reserve deputies work with regular officers after training. mounted members must own horses and gear. Applicants 21 to 45 with good character must pass vision, height standards, a physical, a written test, and an interview.
