Lompoc Queen Kay Wishard shines in Guayaquil pageant tour

Kay Wishard of Lompoc and her mother Mrs. Arthur Wishard returned from a five day Pearl of the Pacific event in Guayaquil Ecuador with praise for United States hospitality. The pageant featured contestants from several nations with a royal reception, banquets and a grand ball before Kay's Western attire crown banner and duties as USA representative in the people to people exchange.

Araynae Singers to Perform Tonight at Calvary Church

The Araynae Singers from Bethel College St Paul Minnesota present a music with answers program at Calvary Baptist Church Vandenberg Village tonight at 7 00. The ensemble led by Julie Amelsberg Tom Carlson Jon Nordstrom and Pat Sandberg on guitar and bass tours Minnesota to Washington and Oregon while studying at Bethel College. The free concert invites the community, with a voluntary offering.

Inside Auld Lang Syne Club Welcomes New Members

Eve and Ben Arlen joined the Auld Lang Syne Club during an inside picnic at the Recreation Center 105 S. C St. Fried chicken topped the meal while games followed. Visitors included Mr. and Mrs. Adam Pauley, Wilma Kiles's parents. The club, sponsored by the City Recreation Department, meets weekly Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. with a 6:30 p.m. potluck on the third week. membership is open to those over 40.
