Burglary at Whistle Stop Tavern Lands String of Thefts
Police investigated today’s burglary at the Whistle Stop tavern 905 W Laurel Ave. A front window was broken and cash from coin machines, a butcher knife, canned beer, and ham hocks were reported stolen. A cro cheted rug valued at 250 dollars was taken from Norman Gregson Payne’s home 730-A North A St. A grass fire north of North Daily Record Place caused minor damage with no injuries. A traffic collision on Ocean Ave and G St left Kam wa Sa oot Rosell with minor injuries. treatment at Vandenberg AFB Hospital. Wayne McCullough was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon after an altercation with roommate James Bale. bail set at 3000. A toolbox valued at 350 dollars disappeared from Thomas See ill. Patricia Spears suffered a knee injury after losing control of her car on Lompoc Casmalia Road and hitting a pont. treated and released.
