Plans advanced for Danish queen's visit to Solvang
The Solvang Chapter of the Rebild National Park Society arranged plans for Queen Margrethe II of Denmark and Prince Henrik to visit Solvang on Sunday May 23. They arrive about 1 p.m. from Santa Barbara by limousine after flying from San Francisco. They will attend a Bethania Lutheran Church luncheon then tour Bethania Solvang Lutheran Home and Santa Ynez Valley Recovery Residence before a two hour stay ending around 3 p.m. The visit is sponsored by the Rebild Society with local Danish groups, marking her second Solvang visit since 1960. Tickets for the luncheon will be sold on a first come basis after Saturday.
