Girl Scouts Dedicate Fire Bowl in Lompoc Valley Event

FCI withdrawal reshapes local project cost shares
With FCI out, the remaining three entities must cover about 12 percent of the plant cost. Vandenberg Village Development Company will build the line to the plant, sharing the load previously split with FCI. Agreements with the state board are pending, and VW and Lompoc Utilities will seek rate increases to fund their shares. Lompoc voters already approved a 1.5 million bond. Original shares were Lompoc 74 percent, Vandenberg Village 16, Mission Hills 5, and FCI 5.
