Sheriff probes fatal shooting in Lompoc near Riding Club
A 22 year old former Lompoc city refuse truck driver, Jackie Leon Cornelison, died on arrival at Lompoc District Hospital after a shooting found near the Johns Manville Riding Club on Highway 1. Earl Head discovered the body. Gordon Davis alerted authorities. Cornelison, whose wife is Yvonne, had worked for the city from 1967 to 1968.
