Night of crime ends with 250000 bank robbery

In Brooklyn near Ft Hamilton a payroll robbery netted about 250000 after three armed men held 14 hostages including the DiSogra family and Baratta relatives. DiSogra aided by authorities opened the vault and two others guided the escape as police pursued a 13 state bulletin for the gunmen. The robbers sprayed the bank CCTV lens and released hostages after a 15 minute operation.

Dog put to death for killing girl in England

In Chelmsford England a 2-year-old mixed breed dog Blackie was executed by injection after a Magistrates Court ruled it must be destroyed to prevent further harm. Audrey and Winton Goodchild mourned, saying the dog showed affection and did not deserve death.
