Postal Service to Offer Next Day Airmail Delivery
Washington UPI Postmaster General Winton Blount announced a new postal plan promising next day delivery of zip coded airmail within 600 miles and second day delivery to most major U.S. cities. The program starts April 22 with a 11 cent airmail stamp and 8 cent first class stamp effective May 16.

Planners approve junk yard permit in Wompoc area
Planning Commission last night recommended approval for auto wrecking yards in the commercial industrial zone with a use permit.
