Pilgrims Reenact Crucifixion Path Through Jerusalem

About 3,000 Christian pilgrims walked the Via Dolorosa in Jerusalem reenacting Jesus Christ’s crucifixion. They carried crosses, stopped at all 14 Stations, and moved toward the Church of the Holy Sepulchre amid multilingual prayers. Security was tight as Israeli troops patrol the crowds.

Jaworski gains authority to probe Nixon tax returns

Harris poll finds plurality backing Nixon impeachment

Filipino reenacts crucifixion in village ritual

In SAN PEDRO Philippines a 32 year old Filipino named Juanito Piring was nailed to a 10 foot black wooden cross in a rural ceremony watched by about 5000 people. Followers carried the cross through the town to a rice field while a group of men whipped themselves with bamboo to imitate the Passion.
