The County Planning Commission backs a tentative map by Insignis Inc Santa Barbara for a 38 unit condominium project on the east side of Fairview Ave north of Calle Real in Goleta Valley. Petricek Lt Col Ret dies in Tucson funeral set

Funeral services for Gerald A. Petricek Air Force lieutenant colonel retired will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Ambrose Church in Tucson. He directed maintenance of First STRAD at Vandenberg AFB 1961 to 1967 before moving to Tucson. He is survived by his widow Margaret and two sons Timothy and Robert of Tucson, his mother Frances Petricek of Nebraska, and sister Mrs. Gary Prucha of Lompoc. Palm Funeral Home of Tucson directs arrangements.

Lompoc projects water needs from State Water Project

FIT Fight Inflation Together Shifts Focus and Tactics

FIT spokesman Ruth Grimes said the group fights inflation across the board and is not extending the meat boycott. Many Santa Barbara homeowners miss tax exemption cutoff

County Assessor William H. Cook said 5 000 to 6 000 homeowners in Santa Barbara County had not filed for a homeowners tax exemption that could save 175 to 200 dollars on their tax payment. He noted about 35 000 qualified for the 1 750 assessed valuation exemption and applications are accepted through Monday April 16 despite the Sunday deadline.
