County Parks approve group picnic reservation fees
The Board of Supervisors approved a fee system for reserving county park picnic areas by a 3-2 vote. Areas for 50 to 100 people require a $10 fee, while areas for more than 100 people cost $20. The plan, backed by Parks Director Michael Pahos, aims to fund maintenance and curb abuses with a centralized reservation system. School groups may qualify for fee exemptions if outings relate to school work.
