Baldwin Organ Club Opens Free Monthly Concerts in Lompoc
In March 1969 a group of music lovers formed the Baldwin Organ Club in Lompoc with meetings at the Baldwin Studio on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 8 p.m. The club invites all interested listeners to enjoy a varied program from classical to contemporary, free of charge. The first president was Gene Cohig, a former professional organist who now performs on request. Grace Anderson and other local musicians contributed as guest artists during the first years, and the club hosted events including a family picnic and a Halloween party while providing background music for the Festival Flower Show.

March of Dimes to Award Scholarships in Santa Barbara Area
Northern Santa Barbara County Chapter of the March of Dimes will grant two scholarships for studies in physical therapy, speech therapy or nursing care. One prize will be awarded at Cabrillo High School and one at Lompoc High. Students should apply via their counselors by May 1.
