Lakers Get Bombed as Bucks Dominate Playoff Game Four

Jabbar and Dandrige led Milwaukee’s assault while the Lakers faltered on offense and defense in a 112-90 loss in game four of the Western Conference semifinal. Kareem scored 31 and grabbed 18 rebounds, Dandrige added 24 as Milwaukee built a 52-39 halftime lead and widened it late in the third. Elmore Smith led LA with 20 before an official’s ejection ended his night.

Cabrillo Girls Swim Opens season at 18-team meet

Righetti led with 51 points, Dos Pueblos 48, Santa Barbara 43 as Cabrillo placed sixth. Diana Mertz, Cheryl Eppley, Kathy Midgley and Linda Wassmund took second in the 100-yard freestyle relay. Cabrillo and San Marcos tied for the frosh soph meet win with 34, Lompoc and Righetti 28. Lompoc won backstroke. Cabrillo JV fell 6-0 to Eagles juniors. Singles and doubles results listed.
