Lompoc Braves edge Cabrillo in wild 9-6 league baseball

Lompoc capitalized on seven fifth inning runs to beat Cabrillo 9-6 and stay undefeated in league play. Tony Mason hit a two run homer for Cabrillo as Roy Thomas and reliever Teddy Torres faltered for Lompoc, while Cabrillo pitchers Fisher and Martin struggled in the decisive frame.

Braves win big in league tennis over Cabrillo

Lompoc Braves varsity swept Cabrillo 6-1 in SBCL action to move into a tie for the league lead. Wayne Burmester dominated first singles 6-0 6-0, while Cabrillo’s Chuck Beaudry won the lone match 6-2 6-4. Jayvee also swept with four singles and one doubles win.

Conquistadores Edge Bravelets In JV Golf Thriller

Lompoc and Cabrillo junior varsity golf staged a tight warm up at Village Country Club. Cabrillo won 8-7 with Thad Scott Barry Cranze and Rick Burris winning for the Conquistadores. Bravelets Joel Halfhill and Dave Schroeder won for their team.

Nate Archibald 5-11 guard from Utah PEP led the South with 51 points in a 116-108 win over the West in Honolulu. The South advances to face the East for the tournament title as the four team event resumes. Joe Hamilton added 24 for the South, while Sam Robinson and Seaburn Hill scored for the West. Chargers top Cabrillo in County League dual meet

Dos Pueblos Charg ers won 63 55 at Goleta over Cabrillo in a league dual meet capturing eight of 14 varsity events. Higbee set a season best in the shot put 59 14 and Cabrillo set several records including a 3 27 8 mile relay. Norton equaled the school 440 record and Edwards led DP in the 880.

Alabama collegians upstage Cards with hitting antics in Mobile
