County sign policy questioned after Buellton inn sign ok
Board chairman George H Clyde fears approving a 53 by 200 sign for Andersen's Inn at Buellton opens the door for larger freeway area signs. The 3 2 vote grants a conditional exception to a rule that limits signs to 30 feet high and 100 square feet. The ruling may affect Goleta Valley Holiday Inn and others seeking larger displays along U S 101.
