Ships Cast on the Rocks in South Africa Storm
Special correspondence recalls a devastating September coastal gale at Port Fiji South Africa where twenty nine ships wrecked within twenty hours. About 100 sailors are missing or dead as life guards struggle with antiquated boats and perilous seas. Wrecks include British German Norwegian Italian and Swedish vessels with substantial tonnage.
