Logan City Independence Day Celebration Program
Logan City hosts a grand celebration with Jos Keowles marshal and Jos Morrel as master of ceremonies. A parade starts promptly at one o'clock with about 35 business houses represented, Miss Morrell as Goddess of Liberty, and a Logan band providing music. Speakers include Rev A J Clifton and Mrs Justin Wicht, with a county suc sentence on Liberty and 1776. After the tabernacle meeting, concerts and performances by local talent precede children's sports at Tabernacle Square and other events at the ball park. The sports program features tug of war, greased pig chase, bicycle, horse, and foot races, balloon ascent, diving for money, and prizes for each event, with plans to stage events across venues.
