Mrs. Ora Barnett Yaw widow of the late Winfield S. Yaw was named by county commissioners to succeed her husband as auditor. She will serve the remainder of his term ending January 1, 1939 and will retain current chief deputy Miss Blahche England and deputy Miss Margaret Soliday. A potential additional assistant may be appointed. Commission took action in a special session delayed by tardiness.
