Lake Logan Beach Work Progresses Rapidly
Lake Logan beach project, led by F H Brewer Co chief supervisor Bob Spires, advances as silt removal nears completion this weekend. About 500 truckloads of muck are to be moved with beach construction finishing next weekend and gravel and sand layers planned. The lake is lowered seven feet for the work, with parking, restrooms, pumps, and seeding completed earlier this month.

Myrta Louetta Rizer 88, widow of William F. Rizer, died at 11 p.m. Thursday in Lancaster after two years of ill health. Born Haydenville, daughter of Dallas and Sarah Tucker, she chaired Logan Methodist Church activities WLCS and Union Bible Class. Survived by two sons Melvin J. and John W., two daughters Dorothy Mowery and Kathryn Robinette, a brother Gerald Tucker, a sister Pansy Jacobs, and 14 grandchildren. Funeral 10 a.m. Monday at Leonard Funeral Home with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. visitation after 2 p.m. Saturday.
