Two Men Sentenced to Reformatory by Judge Meyer
Michael Manter aged 28 of 477% E Second Street and Kenneth Guess aged 20 of Logan Route 2 were sentenced to Mansfield Reformatory by Common Pleas Judge Harley Meyer. Both pleaded guilty to breaking into offices and uninhabited dwellings with intent to commit felonies. 46 Hijacked Passengers Stranded in Havana
Forty six Eastern Air Lines passengers hijacked to Cuba were stranded in Havana after Cuba refused to allow the jet to fly to Miami. The Boeing 720 landed in Havana Friday with six crew members and Captain W. T. Babbett. authorities cited airport size as a constraint. Eastern planned to send a smaller Electra to Veradera to recover the passengers, who were housed in a Havana hotel overnight.
