Israel Ends Lebanon Raid Ends 60 Guerrillas Slain
Israeli forces ended a 32hour search and destroy mission in Lebanon claiming 60 guerrillas killed 150 guerrilla structures destroyed and several prisoners taken. Three Israelis were killed six wounded while Lebanese reports put Israeli deaths at 18 and eight Lebanese soldiers killed with 12 wounded and 20 missing. The operation followed the Munich massacre and recent crossborder raids as Prime Minister Golda Meir vowed continued pursuit of terrorists.
