Clara Belle Rulon 84 of 397 Hocking Ave died at 8 p.m. Thursday in Hocking Valley Community Hospital after an extended illness. A Logan High School alumna and long time grade school teacher, she taught at Rockbridge Union Furnace Logan Carbon Hill Calico Ridge West Milton and Gore. Surviving are a sister Mrs Winifred Engle a niece Mrs Leon Eichel a sister in law Mrs Claude Rulon a nephew Dale Engle and a grand nephew Ted Engle. Funeral 2 p.m. Monday at Heinlein Funeral Home officiated by Rev Edna B Hughes. Interment Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Saturday.

Indictments Are Handed Down In $5 Million Church Swindle
Grand jurors charged 13 people including two Fort Worth churchmen a former state securities executive and a former state representative with mail fraud conspiracy and bond fraud in a case affecting 22 churches across 12 states. Bonds issued in 1965 were said to yield only 180000 in construction work against 5 154 900 face value. The scheme involved churches bonds and interstate transport of fraudulent securities. Bond amounts were set at 1000 for most defendants 10000 for a lawyer. Fourteen churches were Church of Christ three Baptist three Christian Science and one Assembly of God.
